Creating Backups

SQL Backup provides a wizard to guide you through the process of creating a backup. To start the Back Up wizard, click Back Up.

The Back Up wizard comprises the following steps:

Step 1:

Select the SQL Server, and optionally choose a previously-saved template.

Step 2:

Select the type of backup, and the database that you want to back up.

Step 3:

Specify the backup file location, set options for existing backup files, and set optimization options if required.

Step 4:

Specify compression and encryption options, and any actions required on completion.

Step 5:

Review the backup summary, and start the backup process.
