The Application Options dialog box enables you to specify options such as the application that SQL Data Compare uses to open the synchronization SQL script or the location where that script is saved.
To display the Application Options dialog box, on the Tools menu, click Application Options.
To specify the application in which SQL Data Compare opens SQL scripts:
In the Arguments box, type the arguments so that SQL Data Compare can connect to your database. Refer to your SQL application's documentation for information about the required arguments.
To specify the location where SQL scripts are saved:
Selecting the check box ensures that the Save a copy of the SQL script before synchronization check box is selected by default in the Confirm page of the Synchronization Wizard.
To specify the export defaults:
This ensures that the Export check box is cleared by default on the Export Comparison Results dialog box for tables or views that contain only identical rows.
The Export folder is the default folder for Export to on the Export Comparison Results dialog box.
