Results Panel

The Results panel displays a list of results sets that are currently loaded in ANTS Profiler. A results set is created for each snapshot that you take while profiling. For each results set, it shows the application name, date, and time; an asterisk (*) indicates that you have not saved the results set.

The results are indicated as follows:

Performance results
Memory results

If your application uses separate threads, when you expand the results set, the threads are indicated by

To display the results in the main window, double-click the required set of results in the Results panel. The current results are indicated by bold text.

To display the results for a particular thread, double-click the required thread in the Results panel.

Opening a results set

To open a previously saved set of results, do one of the following:

Click Open results in the toolbar.
On the File menu, click Open results.
In the Results panel, right-click and then click Open results.

Saving a results set to a file

Do one of the following:

Click the save button in the toolbar.
On the File menu, click Save results or Save results as.
In the Results panel, right-click the results, then click Save results.

Exporting a results set

You can export the results in HTML or XML format. For performance results, only the results that are displayed in the All methods panel are exported; for memory profiling results, only the results that are displayed in the All objects panel and the All classes panel are exported. To do this:

On the File menu, click Export profiling data.

Removing results

To remove results from the Results panel, do one of the following:

On the File menu, click Close results or Close all results.
In the Results panel, right-click the results, then click Close results, Close all results or Close all results except this set.
